Katrina Kaif to star opposite Salman Khan in Bharat

After Priyanka Chopra walked out of the Salman Khan starrer Bharat, due to engagement rumors, Katrina Kaif has taken the place as the film’s leading lady. Katrina Kaif was last seen opposite Salman Khan in the 2017 film Tiger Zinda Hai and will now be romancing the Khan once again in the Ali Abbas Zafar directorial.

According to a leading Indian daily, “I am extremely excited to work with Katrina Kaif and Salman Khan once again for Bharat. We have had exciting collaborations in the past and it is very interesting to work with the duo once again. Katrina got on board in the Nick of time for the project and it is very delightful to work with the immensely talented actress yet again,” said director Ali Abbas Zafar on Katrina joining the film as its lead.

Katrina Kaif is said to be playing Salman Khan’s love interest in Bharat. The film will see Khan  in five different looks spanning over 6 decades. Katrina Kaif will be joining the shoot from September 2018.

Bharat is scheduled to release on Eid next year.
