Marriage Not on the Table for Now, Resham Dismisses Rumors

Veteran actress Resham, best known for her role in Sangam, has denied the surfacing marriage rumors and termed it as ‘propaganda’. The actress, who was said to be getting married next year has dismissed the claims of her getting hitched and asked the ‘elements’ to stop propagating against her.

“I am not getting married, some elements are propagating against me and spreading rumors in the media industry to damage my dignity,” said the 51-year old while talking to Express Tribune.

She further added, “I don’t know these ‘elements’ who are propagating against me, but the truth is I have never said anything regarding my marriage on any public platform or private gathering. I am surprised at how such stories are taking form and why some people would pull off something like this.”

The actress stated that her career is in front of her fans and she has never relied on fake rumors to gain publicity. She held the ‘elements’ propagating the news to be responsible for such false rumors and asked them to stop doing so.

“Similar elements had earlier spread false news about my age and one month ago, news about my attachment with a local singer had also surfaced. I avoid such things in my career and my fans know me best. There is no need for me to keep my marriage a secret and whenever I have any such plans I will let the people know myself,” the Ghounghat actress stated.

“I have struggled a lot and worked really hard with honesty to earn my place in the industry. My whole career is in front of my fans and they can judge me best. I never made any announcement regarding my marriage and these rumours are false,” added Resham.

Earlier in 2013, the veteran actress was said to have gotten married to French designer Mahmood Bhatti and then in 2018 her wedding news with a European businessman surfaced. Resham had denied all such claims back then as well.
