Prince William arrived alone at the Royal Festival Hall in central London for the BAFTAs 2024!

This marks the first high-profile royal engagement William has attended since the Princess of Wales underwent a major operation last month and news of his father King Charles’s cancer diagnosis.

Traditionally he has attended the event with his wife the Princess of Wales Kate Middleton.

The crown prince made a solo entry striding down the red carpet at the Royal Festival Hall ahead of this evening’s ceremony as the Princess of Wales continues to recover from her abdominal surgery at the family’s home.

The Royal couple are the regulars at the biggest night in British film but not this year.

Prince William, 42, who has been the president of the EE British Academy Film Awards since 2010, looked relaxed while he posed for selfies with fans and chatted to well-wishers as he strolled down the red carpet.

The heir to the British throne cut a sharp figure in his trademark navy velour suit jacket and dickie bow.

As reported, Prince William was seated next to Hollywood royalty – Cate Blanchett – ahead of the beginning of the awards ceremony.
