Shoukat Ali, veteran folk singer hospitalised in Lahore

Shoukat Ali, Pakistani veteran folk singer has been hospitalized in Lahore on Tuesday. The renowned singer was admitted to the Services Hospital Lahore suffering from a severe liver infection.
As being reported he is in critical condition. The doctors are trying their best to ensure the singer’s speedy recovery.

Provincial Minister Mian Aslam Iqbal, upon hearing news of his illness, has reportedly contacted the Secretary Health to ensure providing the best healthcare facilities to the celebrity singer.
Shoukat Ali has been associated with Pakistan’s music industry for the last 55 years and has produced a few of the most remarkable music pieces of Pakistani music history.
The folk singer reached the peak of his career during the 1965 and 1971 Pakistan-India wars. His patriotic song including Saathiyon Mujahidon Jaag Utho, amongst others, became an anthem of sorts.
Shaukat Ali is known for singing Sufi poetry with great vigor and a wide vocal range, with an exemption that includes Heer Waris Shah, Bulleh Shah, and Saif ul Maluk.
While talking to a media outlet Shaukat Ali has requested his fans and followers to pray for his speedy recovery.
