“I should really go to Pakistan as I’ll be much happier there,” Alia Bhatt’s mother, Soni Razdan

Alia Bhatt might enjoy a great rapport with her fans and the masses in India, however, it seems, everything isn’t really well when it comes to her mother, Soni Razdan. The actress, time and again has expressed how she has received a lot of flak about the statements she has made about Kashmir and this time its no different either.

During a recent interview with the Nav Bharat Times, Soni opened up about the criticism that comes her way when she speaks about Kashmir or Pakistan, people often labelling her as an ‘anti-national’. Razdan added how people, who disagreed with her opinions repeatedly tell her to go to Pakistan, making her feel that she should indeed take the step.

“When I talk like this, people start calling me anti-national and want to send me to Pakistan. Sometimes I wonder, I should really go to Pakistan and I’ll be much happier there. As it is, the food is also good at that side. Here, people are after me and want to make me run away.”

However, adding further that the trolls made no difference to her, Soni stated, “There are so many people who share the same thoughts as me, and thus, it hardly makes any difference to me what the people have to say about me.”

Soni Razdan was last seen alongside Alia in Raazi and is now gearing up for the release of her film “No Fathers In Kashmir.” The film also stars Kulbhushan Kharbanda, Zara Webb, Ashvin Kumar and Anshuman Jha and is said to revolve around the life of two 16 year olds who are looking for their lost fathers. No Fathers In Kashmir releases 5th April.
