Jhok Sarkar Episode-17 Review: Peeral yet again saves Noori, this time from Poisoning

Sassi and Arsalan dancing scene is the highlight of this play

Jhok Sarkar, a HUM TV drama serial is one of our favorite Prime Time Watch. Performances are all brilliant but it is Farhan Saeed power power-packed performance that makes this serial even more interesting. In the previous episode, we have seen how artfully ASP Arsalan dodges Meeral. In this episode, it is shown that Peeral saves Noori from getting poisoned.

For an instant, it feels like Meeral’s goons have gotten ASP Arsalan but then in the very next scene, we get shocked when Mukhatar is not in the car and the masked inspector whom Meeral thinks is ASP Arsalan is someone else. ASP Arsalan has very artfully dodged Meeral and his goons. He is on horses on another track and he safely takes Mukhtar to the Police station with the help of the ShorKot inspector.

Meeral is out of his mind. He is literally mad at ASP Arsalaan and at his defeat. Meeral and Dhani Baksh discuss how to silence Mukhtar as his stay in Police custody may bring trouble for them. Meeral sends one of his goons to the Police station posing as to be his relative. Well, Police security under ASP Arsalan is too strict that he cannot harm Mukhtar but he conveyed Meeral’s message to stay quiet no matter what happened.

ASP Arsalan attending a sepoy’s wedding is one of the wholesome scenes of Jhok Sarkar. The way that a shy sub-ordinate invites his boss to his wedding and the way people are speculating that a superior officer will never go to attend his subordinate’s wedding but he does! The scene where ASP Arsalan is dancing to the music with others and in the ladies’ section Sassi is also dancing with other girls and their eyes meet through the window is such a well-executed scene.

Noori’s maid is all set to give her a glass of poisoned milk. She is placing the glass on the side table when Peeral catches her. He gets suspicious as her hands are continuously shaking. He asks the maid Zaini to drink that milk herself and he notices the change of color on her face. He orders her to drink that glass of milk in front of Noori. She does and she dies on the spot making Peeral furious and Noori terrified. Noori does not want the child but Peeral is anxiously waiting for his child. Now who will save Sardari Begum and Zulekha from Peeral’s wrath?
