Kala Doriya Episode-2 Review: The ugly tussle between the families continues

Kala Doriya Episode-2 Review –  Hum Tv’s newly started drama serial Kala Doriya is two episodes down and still, it fails to engage our interest. It may be too soon to say that it, unfortunately, happens to be an average Rom-Com. We are not yet connecting to the characters and also there seem casting issues too. In the previous episode, we have seen it as a beginning of an interesting Rom-Com. In this episode we have been a bit disappointed as our expectation from this project is quite high.

The bhabi deevar scenes are getting too sweet to watch. The birthday scene was well executed it looks like real birthday celebrations going on where everyone is having their piece of cake. It was a cute scene where Baray Abba and Bari Ammi are on a video call even Mahnoor is watching it delightfully. I don’t understand why both husband and wife are forced to live separately, their separation makes no sense!

Well in the middle of the video call Baray Abba gets fainted as he gets a heart attack. He has taken to the hospital by ambulance. The news of him getting hospitalized spread over to the other family as well and they also get worried as they are also their father. Asfandyar and his brother go to meet him in the hospital but Mahnoor’s father stops them from meeting his father.

Zainab Qayyum’s Punjabi accent is too weird and looks too forced. Tamkinant’s performance is a treat to watch. The only good thing about the play is Nadia Afghan’s fluent Punjabi and her extempore Punjabi proverbs but they give us Suno Chanda vibes. Bari Amma is too anxious to meet her ailing husband and I don’t understand why she needs to hide it from her son and daughter-in-law that she is going to meet her husband. The story is not making any sense at all.

Why this elderly couple is forced to live separately what good they have done to bring the families closer? the ugly tussle continues. Mahnoor is so vile that she goes straight to Asfand’s house and there she spills the beans that Amma has come along with Asfand to meet Bara Abba at the hospital. Munna hears this and he straight away gives a tight slap at Asfand’s face. Mahnoor smiles while watching this whole scene. Amma gets hurt so much that she starts packing her stuff and has plans to leave the house. Well, it sounds like a good idea!
