Khuda aur Mohabbat Ep-8 Review: Mahi drifts further away from Farhad

Khuda Aur Mohabbat continues to be the audience’s top choice as is evident from its ratings and on the number of views on Geo Entertainment’s YouTube channel on every episode. The show seems to have cracked the formula of blockbuster success.

The latest episode begins with Mahi rejecting Farhad’s love. She tells him he is dead to her and that he should forget all about her existence. She warns him telling him that her brother will kill him if he finds out about his intentions. Farhad tells Mahi he isn’t scared of dying. What she considers a joke is his love for her, but Mahi insults him and tells him he is mistaking her sympathy for love. Farhad says he won’t leave until he hasn’t proved his love. Eventually, Farhad drops Mahi at her university and returns to the mansion, heartbroken.

Farhad (Feroze Khan)

Noora gets worried when he learns that Farhad has gone to drop Mahi to university all by himself. Upon his return, Noora questions him but Farhad says he did as he was told. Noora instructs Farhad to never go alone without another woman from the mansion present in the car with him.

Mahi’s sister-in-law is restless because of how long it has been since Mahi and Farhad had left. She heaves a sigh of relief when Mahi returns. She tells her sister-in-law that Farhad claims to love and won’t leave until he gets what he wants.

In Multan, Taimoor’s mother tells him that Mahi’s family has invited them to their place. He is elated and the family begins preparation for their visit.

Farhad is further saddened when he learns that people are coming over to see Mahi. Back home, his family receives the money he has sent for them. While Farhad’s father, sister, and brother are ecstatic, his mother is worried and uneasy about how he must be so far away from home.

Taimoor’s mother accepts Mahi for her son the moment she lays eyes on her when she comes to see her. The families get to know each other and the alliance is fixed right then. In the drivers’ quarters, a shattered and grief-stricken Farhad sheds tears since he knows Mahi’s name is being added to someone else’s in the mansion at that point in time.

Mahi (Iqra Aziz)

Iqra Aziz and Feroze Khan continue to deliver strong, promising performances. Their take on Mahi and Farhad’s characters deserve all the praise and applauds. Special praise should be made for the show’s production value. From the sets to the locations, everything is opulent and magnificent.

It will be interesting to see what happens in Farhad and Mahi’s story next. Will he lose her forever? Will she fall in love with him? To find out, keep watching Khuda Aur Mohabbat.
