Tumharey Husn Kay Naam Episode-2 Review: Will Salma fall for Sikandar despite knowing her humbling background?

Sikandar is smitten by Salma's beauty

Green Entertainment’s drama serial Tumharey Husn Kay Naam is based on a novel that seems to be a classic romantic tale. In this episode, the first encounter between Sikandar and Salma turns into Sikandar’s love at first sight.

The first encounter between Salma and Sikandar at the door of the principal’s room is so interesting. Poor Sikandar does not recognize that she is the same girl who gets injured by his shot and he starts passing his misogynist remarks. Salma who has made up her mind to forgive him has really got second thoughts. However, Sikandar ends up handing her the application he wrote to seek her forgiveness.

Sikandar then comes to know that Salma has forgiven him now he is not being expelled from the college but as a disciplinary measure, he has to pay some amount as a fine. The amount seems too high for him as he is penniless. Sikandar is smitten by Salma. One wonders if is Sikander smitten by Salma’s beauty or her kindness. He has written another apology note to her but this time it seems poetic.

There is an addition of another character a boy, who seems to be quite a brat. He is the son of Salma’s father’s friend and he is looking after the business of his father. Atif seems too interested in Salma but his parents seem quite conservative. They have an issue with Salma studying in co-education. Atif is keen to marry Salma for him she is a matter of his ego, a challenge for him. Salma does not like Atif at all she will never agree to marry him.

Salma on the other hand not seems to mind Sikandar’s presence around her, she often catches him watching her and still, it seems that she is kind of enjoying it. She is not having the same feelings she have for Atif when he looks at her, she feels uncomfortable and tries to ignore him. The college class scenes with the teacher trolling Sikandar are quite an enjoyable scene. Salma asks Sikandar why he is been stalking her all day and as a response Sikandar hands over his apology note. In the ending scene Salma in a good mood while painting takes out that note and places it on her table, the note seems poetic! Will Salma fall for Sikandar despite knowing her humbling background?

One thing which seems off is the showing of Saba Qamar and Imran Abbas as college students. I am sure the story going to transition but right now it is hard to digest them as college-going people.
