Karan Johar shares potential cast for ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2’

Filmmaker Karan Johar who made his directorial debut with the 1998 film Kuch Kuch Hota Hai starring Shah Rukh Khan, Kajol and Rani Mukerji says if he ever makes “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2”, he would cast actors Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor in it.

While hosting ISHQ 104.8’s show “Calling Karan Season 2”, one of the callers asked him about the remake of “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” and the actors he would choose for the movie.

“If I made ‘Kuch Kuch Hota Hai 2’, I would cast Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt and Janhvi Kapoor in it,” Karan replied.

Alia and Janjhvi have been both launched in Bollywood by Karan with his films “Student of the Year” and “Dhadak” respectively.

In an interview earlier, Karan also revealed that his favourite actor is Ranbir. The two have worked together in “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil”, which released in 2016

“ I’m excited to have worked with him, I’m excited to work with him for “Brahmastra” ,” he added.

Karan’s directorial debut, “Kuch Kuch Hota Hai” was one of the biggest blockbusters of 1998 and is still remembered as an iconic Bollywood movie.
