Another propaganda film; Bollywood’s upcoming JNU: Jahangir National University draws backlash
Another propaganda film is set to make its way to the cinema leading to backlash on social media.
Bollywood’s upcoming film ‘JNU: Jahangir National University’ is reported to be made in the backdrop of the controversy surrounding Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU) 2020 protests which has led to backlash on social media.
As soon as the filmmaker Vinay Sharma’s latest venture titled JNU: Jahangir National University’s poster was shared on social media revealing that the film will be released in theatres on April 5, it irked the netizens.

The caption on the JNU poster says, “Can one educational university break the nation.”
The title of the Vinay Sharma directorial hints at the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU). While the title having the name Jahangir added fuel to the fire.
Hitler and the Nazis used to do the same thing. They had a whole hate-filled media propaganda spanning nearly 90 movies and radio shows over a decade. It's nice to see their fans are following the same pattern a century later.

The film’s cast includes Siddharth Bodke, Piyush Mishra, Ravi Kishan, Vijay Raaz, Rashmi Desai, Atul Pandey and Sonnalli Seygall.
The Controversy:
It all started on 5 Jan 2020, when a mob of men with masks on their faces stormed the campus and attacked the students at one of India’s most iconic universities, the Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), in Delhi, named after independent India’s first Prime Minister.
The group of masked people attacked students at Jawaharlal Nehru University and damaged the campus while they went from hostel to hostel.
According to a list compiled by the teachers’ association there more than 22 students and teachers were injured in the violence.
Soon video clips started to appear on social media showing students bleeding from the attack, among the injured was Aishe Ghosh, the President of the Jawaharlal Nehru Students Association.
