Nandita Das is trying to release ‘Manto’ in Pakistan
Veteran Film maker Nandita Das is all set to release her film ‘Manto” which is a biopic on the life of great Urdu writer Sadaat Hassan Manto. Nawazzudin Siddiqui is playing the main lead in the film as Manto. The film was premiered in Cannes Film Festival this year and is releasing on 21st of September 2018.
The film has raved many appreciative reviews from the critics and people are looking forward to this flick but still it is unsure that whether this film going to be release in Pakistan or not ?
Nandita recently tweeted that she is trying her best to get Manto to release in Pakistan. Her tweet says, “We’re working towards releasing the film in Pakistan soon.”

Well cinema goers are still not sure about the film release in Pakistan. Well this is not for first time, films like Veer De Wedding, Padman and Mulk were banned for screening in cinemas in Pakistan due to having bold content .
