Netflix drops trailer for its live-action series Avatar: The Last Airbender

The live-action series will be arriving on the streaming platform on February 22 only on Netflix.

Netflix on Tuesday dropped the trailer for its live-action series Avatar: The Last Airbender releasing on Feb 22!

The newly released trailer is focused almost entirely on setting up Aang (played by Gordon Cormier) — the titular Avatar — as a young hero preparing to save the world from the oppression of the “Fire Nation” by learning to bend all four elements: water, earth, fire and air.

All we get to see in over a 2-minute long clip are a few dramatic lines, some cool special effects, and at least one very cute critter.

The trailer seems pretty impressive after getting to know that the series faced many prolonged delays.

The adaptation was first announced in 2018, and in 2020, the show’s original creators stepped away from the project citing creative differences.

Here check out the trailer:

The official synopsis: “Alongside his newfound friends Sokka and Katara, siblings and members of the Southern Water Tribe, Aang embarks on a fantastical, action-packed quest to save the world and fight back against the fearsome onslaught of Fire Lord Ozai. But with a driven Crown Prince Zuko determined to capture them, it won’t be an easy task.”

Aang gets help on his journey from his friends Katara (played by Kiawentiio) and her brother Sokka (Ian Ousley). The cast also includes Dallas Liu as Prince Zuko and Daniel Dae Kim stars as Fire Lord Ozai
