Oscars Go Hostless Second Year in a Row

Oscars 2020 that are set to be held on February 9 will not have a host again this year, confirmed Karey Burke, President ABC Entertainment.

“We expect that we’re going to have a very commercial set of nominations and a number of elements have come together that convinced us we’ll have a very entertaining show,” said Burke who informed that the event will cash in on last year’s formula.

“The telecast will focus on what worked last year, huge entertainment value, big musical numbers, big comedy and star power,” ABC maintains.

Last year Kevin Hart was set to be the host of the biggest global award show, however he had to step down after facing a controversy. The organizers then went ahead conducted the show without a host which was seen by 29.6 million viewers.

This year again ABC and the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences have mutually agreed to go without a host second year in a row.
