Forbes’ Highest-Paid Actress of 2020 list has been revealed.
Sofia Vergara of Modern Family fame is Forbes’ highest-paid actress of 2020, with $43 million.
While Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie has secured the second position with $35 million.
Meanwhile, Israeli actress Gal Gadot is the third-highest paid actress of 2020 with $31.5 million, according to Forbes magazine.
With an income of $25 million, Melissa McCarthy is at number 4. She earned big as the host of NBC’s Little Big Shots, and also with two films to her credit, Thunderforce, and Superintelligence. Both the films have been directed by husband Ben Falcone.
Meryl Streep is in the 5th spot with a $24 million salary.
Emily Blunt is at no 6th position on the list with the $22.5 million she made from June 2019 to 2020.
7th spot on the list is taken by Nicole Kidman for making $22 million this year.
According to Forbes, owing to the global pandemic that resulted in the halt of many big-budget releases, and many movie stars could not earn large bonuses based on box office performance. And because of this many Tv stars have been able to top-paid star list.
Grey’s Anatomy” actress Ellen Pompeo is at No. 8; with $19 million, and “The Handmaid’s Tale” actress Elisabeth Moss is at No. 9; with $16 million earnings.
Another TV star, Viola Davis has made to the Forbes list’s No. 10 position with $15.5 million, for the first time with lead roles in “How to Get Away with Murder” and the upcoming Netflix film “Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom’.
