Chris Pratt is set to voice Garfield in a new animated movie!
As being reported, the actor has signed on to voice the iconic cat in a new animated film ‘This Monday Doesn’t Suck’.
The actor has voiced characters in The Lego Movie franchise as well as in Pixar’s Onward.
He is also set to star as Mario in the Super Mario Bros. animated movie.
The latest adaptation of the famous comic strip character will be written by Oscar-nominated screenwriter David Reynolds (Finding Nemo) and will be directed by Mark Dindal (Chicken Little). Both have previously worked together on The Emperor’s New Groove.
Taking it to social media the Pratt, 42, shared the news with his fans and followers along with an image of the iconic cat Garfield, with a caption, “Well this Monday doesn’t suck…”

There are already two live actions films made on the famous comic strip character.
The first was made into a live-action film, Garfield, in 2004 along with its sequel, 2006’s Garfield: A Tail of Two Kitties.
Bill Murray landed his voice for Garfield in both films.
