Drew Barrymore reunited with the ‘E.T.’ cast in honor of the film’s 40th anniversary.

Now regarded as one of the Hollywood’s classics, Steven Spielberg’s ‘E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial’ arrived in theaters in 1982.

Drew Barrymore was reunited with her ‘E.T.  castmates on an upcoming episode of her talk show to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Steven Spielberg’s sci-fi classic.
The latest episode of the Drew Barrymore Show was aired on Monday featuring the actress and host reunited with co-stars Henry Thomas, Dee Wallace, and Robert Macnaughton in celebration of the film’s 40th anniversary.
Drew revealed that she believed E.T. was real as a kid as she talked to her co-stars.
“Steven Spielberg, he cast me as Gertie when I was just five years old, and that changed my life,” Barrymore explained to the audience.
“He gave me a purpose and a clear understanding of love and respect. He gave me a family that changed my perception of a family forever. The cast, Robert and Henry and Dee, I truly became a family with them.”
