Keanu Reeves’s wish to play Constantine again sends the internet into a meltdown

Keanu Reeves’s wish to play Constantine again sends the internet into a meltdown!

Reeves appeared playing the character of John Constantine, an exorcist from the DC-Vertigo universe and member of the Justice League Dark, in the film back in 2005.

For those who don’t know, Constantine in the comics faces off against more supernatural and magical threats that the regular Justice League typically doesn’t deal with.

The actor who made his mark in the Bill and Ted franchise has been returning to that series with Bill and Ted Face the Music, and will soon reprise the roles of John Wick and Neo from The Matrix in no time at all.

While making an appearance on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, the host asked Reeves what other past role he would like to return to knowing that if he asked he could probably get it.

But that’s not true, Reeves explained, saying “That’s not true! That happens. I would love to play John Constantine again from the Constantine movie.”

Reeves also revealed that while he “tried” to get a second Constantine movie off the ground with him in the role, there was no interest from Hollywood.

“I tried, Stephen,” Reeves repeated.

The statement from the Hollywood star has left the fans sharing all sorts of reactions on Twitter.

While social media is already living up to the hype created for the upcoming Matrix 4 film, that will hit the theaters on December 22.
