Lyricist Shakeel Sohail Passes Away at 55

Lyricist Shakeel Sohail best known for his song Ghalat Fehmi from the film Superstar, passed away today at the age of 55. The lyricist suffered from a cardiac arrest, confirmed his immediate family.
“A very sad news that my Uncle #ShakeelSohail is no more due to sudden heart attack! A big loss to the music industry,” Sohail’s nephew Shaloom Sarfraz tweeted.

Other celebrities like Mahira Khan and Superstar’s director Ehtashamuddin also sent out prayers for the deceased lyricist.

Known for his songs in recent Pakistani flicks, Sohail’s last song came out just yesterday. Aik Naya Khawab was Sohail’s last collaboration with Atif Aslam for whom he had earlier written many songs.
