After US Dollar, Gold prices soar to a historic high in Pakistan

After US Dollar, the gold prices soar to a historic high in Pakistan on Wednesday.

According to the All Sindh Sarafa Jewellers Association (ASSJA), the price of gold per tola increased by Rs300, reaching a historic high of Rs138,400

Meanwhile, the rates of 10 grams gold of 24kt increased by Rs258 to Rs1,18,656.

While 10 grams gold of 22kt was Rs1,08,768.

With the latest surge today, the gold price has increased by a total of Rs3,000 in the last four sessions (Saturday-Wednesday).

The yellow metal has emerged as a safe asset during the ongoing economic crisis and people have been aggressively buying gold to protect their cash from deflation.

In the local market, the rates of silver of 24kt were Rs1570 per tola, while the price of 10 grams silver 24kt was recorded at Rs1346.02.

On the other hand, rates of gold in the international market have decreased by US$17 to US$1816 per Troy Ounce.
