Angry fans troll HBO for Game of Thrones S8 Emmy Awards submissions

It’s almost been a month since HBO aired the final season of highly anticipated Game of Thrones fantasy series. Though the final season has left a large number of the GoT fans disappointed.

Game of Thrones has been the frontrunner for Emmy Awards every year HBO has dropped a season, and drama series overall has won several Emmys over the years.

Be it Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) or Lena Headey (Cersei Lannister), who both have won Emmys for their outstanding performance in the epic fantasy series.

For this year as well, HBO has submitted a number of episodes for the Emmy consideration, reportedly Miguel Sapochnik for Game of Thrones season 8’s The Long Night, David Nutter for The Last of the Starks.

HBO has also submitted the names of showrunners DB Weiss and David Benioff for The Iron Throne, in the Best Direction category.

According to a TV Guide report, the only submission made by HBO, in the Best Writing category is the series finale episode, written by Benioff and Weiss.

The network has also submitted the series along with some of the main cast members for consideration at this year’s awards in September.

In the Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series category, Alfie Allen, Pilou Asbaek, Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, Peter Dinklage and Richard Dormer were all submitted, but notably, The Hound actor Rory McCann was not included in the list.

This recent development has angered Game of Thrones fans as the episodes submitted by HBO for Emmy consideration are some of the worst rated episodes from the final season.

And now HBO is being trolled by the angry GoT fans over the social media, who are expressing their disappointment over HBO’s choice for Emmy’s submission.
