22 educational institutions shut down over violations of COVID-19 SOPs: NCOC

22 educational institutions were shut down over the violations of COVID-19 SOPs on Thursday.
The National Command and Operations Centre (NCOC) in a statement on Thursday informed that 22 educational institutions across the country were closed down during the last 48 hours for failing to comply with standard operating procedures (SOPs) for curbing the spread of Covid-19.
According to NCOC, 16 educational institutions were closed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, one in Islamabad, and five in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
“During the last 48 hours, 22 educational institutions across Pakistan have been closed due to non-compliance of health SOPs/protocols and disease prevalence”, the statement added.
Furthermore, two colleges in Sindh’s District Matiari have also been shut down after eight staff members tested positive for coronavirus, it emerged on Thursday.
