Pakistan Coronavirus Outbreak: Educational institutions to remain closed until May 31

The federal government has decided to keep the educational institutes closed as the nationwide tally of coronavirus patient surges to more than 1100.

Planning Minister Asad Umar revealed during a press conference after a meeting of the National Coordination Committee that Education Minister Shafqat Mehmood has decided to keep education institutions across the country closed until May 31.

The nationwide tally of COVID-19 patients has crossed 1,100 with 417 cases in Sindh; 131 in Balochistan; 323 in Punjab; 121 in K-P; 84 in Gilgit-Baltistan; 25 in Islamabad; and one in Azad Jammu and Kashmir.
