The government retains the same prices for petroleum products for the first 15 days of May.
Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Political Communication Shahbaz Gill on Friday said that prime minister Imran Khan, in order to provide relief to citizens, decided against a rise in the prices this month.
According to Gill, Oil, And Gas Regulatory Authority, OGRA, in a summary had proposed an increase by Rs5-10 in the petrol prices.
“The prime minister rejected this and decided to keep the rates notified on April 16,” he wrote.
He also shared a copy of OGRA’s proposal in his tweet.
