Imran Khan suspends PTI’s Jail Bharo Movement
Chairman PTI said that we are suspending our Jail Bharoo Movement, we are going ahead with the election campaign in KP and Punjab.

Welcoming the Supreme Court (SC) verdict in the election suo motu notice, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf Chairman Imran Khan announced the suspension of the “Jail Bharo Tehreek”, saying the party will move forward with election campaigns in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab.
In a tweet, the PTI chief said, “We welcome the SC judgement. It was the responsibility of SC to uphold the Constitution and they have valiantly done that through their judgement today. It is an assertion of the Rule of Law in Pakistan. We are suspending our Jail Bharo movement & moving forward with elec campaigns in KP and Punjab.“

In a split verdict today, the top court has directed the president of Pakistan to consult with the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) and fix a date for elections in Punjab while the governor KP has been ordered to announce a date for the election in the province.
