JUI cleric Mufti Aziz ur Rehman taken into custody after molesting video goes viral on social media
Lahore: JUI cleric Mufti Aziz ur Rehman was taken into custody by Lahore police after a video clip showing him molesting a madrasa student goes viral on social media.
As being reported a case has been registered on the student’s complaint when police arrived at Mufti Aziz ur Rehman’s madrassa in Lahore.
After being arrested, the so-called cleric defended himself in a statement given at the police station.
“I declare on oath that I did not do such an act in my consciousness. I was given something intoxicating and I was not conscious,” he claimed

In the video clip doing rounds on social media, a madrasa student said that Rehman, a former JUI leader, sexually abused him and later cleric’s sons started blackmailing and threatening to kill him.
“If justice is not done, I will commit suicide,” the victim said.
Reportedly, the cleric has been fired from the madrasa as per the notice issued from the management.
On the other hand, social media has been in an uproar ever since the molesting video went viral on social media.
