Khadim Hussain Rizvi, the head of Tehrik e Labayak Pakistan, passes away

Khadim Hussain Rizvi, the head of Tehrik e Labayak Pakistan, has passed away in Lahore on Thursday.

His son Saad Rizvi confirmed the news to SAMAA Digital on Thursday night.

According to Karachi MPA Mufti Qasim Bakhri, Rizvi had been ill for a few days.

TLP chief’s death cause has not been immediately clarified.

Pir Aijaz Ashrafi, a senior leader of TLP in a statement, said that the timings of his funeral prayers will be announced later.

According to Rizvi’s close friend Sahibzada Bashir Ahmed Yousafi, his health deteriorated after he returned from Islamabad.

TLP spokesperson, Hamza, in a statement said that Khadim Hussain Rizvi had been experiencing difficulty in breathing and was running a fever since yesterday.

The spokesperson further added that TLP Chief was at his madrassah on Multan Road when his condition deteriorated on Thursday evening.

Khadim Hussain Rizvi was rushed to a hospital in Lahore, where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
