Moscow Mass Shooting: At least 40 people killed after multiple gunmen open fire at a concert hall
At least 40 people are reported to have been killed and more than 100 injured as five gunmen dressed in camouflage opened fire with automatic weapons at people at a concert in the Crocus City Hall near Moscow, Russia on Friday.
The attack is being called the worst in Russia’s history in years.
Following the attack fire flames leaped into the sky and plumes of black smoke rose above the venue, the pictures and video circulating on social media showed.
Russian media reported a second blast at the venue and there were reports that some of the gunmen had barricaded themselves somewhere in the building.
As reported, the shooting appeared to have begun at a concert of the band “Picnic.”
