Nation celebrates 75th Independence Day with zeal & zest today on 14 August, Saturday.
The day started with thirty-one gun salutes in the Federal Capital and twenty-one gun salutes in the provincial headquarters.
The nation is offering prayers for the security and progress of Pakistan and the well-being of the people. While the national flag is hoisted at all important public and private buildings.
In the main highlight of the day, President Dr. Arif Alv hoisted the national flag in a ceremony held at Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad.

Prime Minister Imran Khan shared a special message on Independence Day in a series of tweets shared by the Prime Minister’s Office, which quoted the premier as saying that “Pakistan today can stand tall among the comity of nations.”
“Our policies towards reviving the economy, handling the pandemic, and protecting the environment have received universal acclaim,” a tweet stated.
