National Assembly Approves Federal Budget 2020-21

National Assembly has approved the federal budget for the fiscal year 2020-21 on Monday.

The National Assembly passed the federal budget by a majority after a debate, after which the assembly session was adjourned till 11 am tomorrow.

Prime Minister Imran Khan was also present in the House at the time of approval of the federal budget.


During the budget approval session, the opposition tried to register its protest by making noise and waving placards and posters.

Speaker National Assembly Asad Qaiser expressed anger over the hoisting of placards by the opposition members and directed that the placards violate the rules and they should be removed.

In the voting, 2 members of BNP Mengal supported the opposition.

Federal Minister for Industries and Production Hammad Azhar had presented an Rs7.14 trillion budget for fiscal 2020-21 on June 12.
