Pakistan elections 2024: Delay in results sparks controversy

Provisional results of 24% of NA seats released so far

Delay in election results has sparked controversy on Friday.

The polling for the general elections nationwide ended at 5:00 pm yesterday.

However, more than 18 hours have passed and the complete election results have not come.

It was the responsibility of the Election Commission Pakistan to announce the results by 10:00 today.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has announced the provisional results of 63 National Assembly seats or 24 per cent of the total.

The results of 202 seats are still awaited.

Elections were postponed in the NA-8 constituency due to the deaths of contesting candidates.
