Rahul Gandhi’s life in danger, says Congress

Congress India, has alleged a serious security breach in party president, Rahul Gandhi’s, protection in Amethi. According to Congress, a green laser, possibly from a sniper, was pointed at Gandhi, during a public media interaction in Amethi.

Rahul Gandhi filed his nomination papers for Amethi Lok Sabha and conducted a road show in Amethi, accompanied by Priyanka Gandhi.

Considering it a serious security breach for Rahul Gandhi, who is an SPG protectee, Congress wrote to the Ministry of Home Affairs.

“We urge you to immediately take note of this grave and unacceptable security threat as also the security lapse in the security of the Congress president. This is also an alarming lapse on part of the UP administration which is responsible for the peripheral security,” read the letter.
