StormFiber shares update on internet outage as company’s office caught fire last night

Pakistan’s A Category ISP (internet service provider) StormFiber, a company of Lakhani’s Lakson Group powered by Cybernet, was shutdown countrywide since last night after a fire erupted in the company’s main building.

Providing updates about the internet outage, the Company in a statement says as the fire broke last night at Karachi office, as part of the disaster recovery process, engineers have cut over internet services to the secondary data center in Karachi.

Some customers may experience slowness in internet speed at the present time. However, the speeds should be back to normal as the team will increase the traffic load.

This step was necessary to ensure that internet access is restored to all customers. However, for the time being, TV and phone service remain affected, says the company’s statement.
