Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf and former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that the current setup is leading Pakistan towards disaster.
Following the arrest of PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry, Imran Khan addressed the nation on Wednesday evening, firing a fresh salvo at the government and institutions.
In a televised press conference, the PTI chief slammed the state institutions and said that the nation is looking to the Supreme Court and Chief Justice of Pakistan Umar Ata Bandial for justice, which has been a far-fetched idea after the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) took over the reins.

Addressing the nation, the Chairman of PTI said that 26 years ago Tehreek-e-Insaf Party was named, and justice means that the weak and the strong will be equal. It is done, our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) led the world.
“I repeatedly refer to the state of Madinah, the foundation of the state of Madinah was justice and fairness,” he maintained.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that making the law of the jungle in the society is called a republic, in countries where the rule of law is prosperous, there is faith in Allah, and there is a fixed time for life and death.
He added, “I am not worried about jail. I tell everyone not to be afraid of jail, how many people will be put in jail, put them, if Pakistanis don’t stand up today, there is darkness ahead.”
Imran Khan further said that in a democracy, is anyone arrested for calling the Election Commission a minister? 30 cases were registered against Azam Swati for posting a tweet, Arshad Sharif was wronged, Arshad Sharif was a self-reliant, honest and patriotic journalist, what was the crime of murderous attack on me?
“I am saying to my nation, your future is in your own hands,” he added.
Chairman Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf went on to add that the nation will have to decide for its future, he said, ” I promise that I will fight for the nation as long as I live. Not afraid, today I am addressing the honourable judiciary of Pakistan, lawyers, this is the time lawyers should stand up for the rule of law.”
He said that the direction they (PDM Govt) are taking the country has no future, the law of the jungle is being implemented in defiance of justice and law, and for the first time, people’s hopes for Pakistan are ending. Young people have gone out of the country, petrol is becoming cheap in the world and expensive in Pakistan, what kind of apocalypse has come, the price of everything has doubled.
Former Prime Minister Imran Khan said that poverty is increasing in Pakistan, businessmen, salaried, and farmers are in a bad situation, the living of the salaried class has become difficult, the reason is the system of cruelty and injustice in the country, the people Ask yourself why these situations have arisen today, what is the reason we are standing on the path of destruction today, Pakistan is standing at a very dangerous point.
Imran Khan said that standing in front of oppression and injustice is Jihad, only after justice comes prosperity, first justice and then prosperity came in the state of Medina, Nelson Mandela said that if you want to reduce poverty, first establish justice. China lifted seventy million people out of poverty by giving justice, prosperity is linked with justice.
He said that Hazrat Ali said that the system of tyranny can work, not disbelief. In our government, flour became 65 rupees and today it is 135 rupees. During our time, we earned an additional 60 billion rupees. What happened after our government left? Has the price of electricity doubled today? There will be more inflation in the country, and the economic conditions of Pakistan have never been like this.
Chairman PTI said that the powerful robbers of the country have forgiven their cases of 1100 billion, and the current setup is leading Pakistan to destruction, Allah has blessed me with every blessing, gave me everything, and they have conspired. When I was thrown out by the Prime Minister, lakhs of people took to the streets for me, no Prime Minister had received such respect.
Earlier in the day, PTI Chief announced to hold of a media talk following the arrest of its leader Fawad Chaudry in Lahore.
I will be doing media talk 4 pm today. Fawad's arrest on his apt description of the CEC leaves no doubt in anyone's mind that Pak has become a banana republic devoid of rule of law. We must stand up for our fundamental rights now to save Pak's drift towards a point of no return.
