Two-time Oscar winner Mahershala Ali to play the new Daywalker in Blade

Marvel Cinematic Universe is all set to expand by leaps and bounds, as Marvel Studios’ chief Kevin Feige announced the next slate of films and web series for the Phase 4 that includes 4 films and a few series.

But Marvel made a surprise announcement in the form of Blade and also made it clear that Blade will not be part of phase 4.

This time two-time Oscar winnerMahershala Ali wll play the new Daywalker, the half vampire-half human last seen being portrayed by Wesley Snipes.

Wesley Snipes starred in all three films The story of a black half-human, half-vampire who hunts vamps and can survive daylight spawned a trilogy with 2002’s vastly superior Blade II and the pretty atrocious 2004 Blade: Trinity.
