Ashes 2019: Australia beat England by 251 Runs in first test

This is Australia's first win at Edgbaston in 18 years.


Australia beat England by 251 runs to win the first Ashes Test at Edgbaston, on Monday.

Steve Smith hit the second century of his comeback Test on Sunday as Australia set England a daunting 398 to win the Ashes opener.

England sadly collapsed to 146 all out on the last day.It was an excellent comeback for Australia after being 122/8 in their first innings.

Australia off-spinner Nathan Lyon 6-49 and fast bowler Pat Cummins 4- 32 take all ten England wickets within two sessions on day five to seal the win.

Australia leads the series by 1-0 in the five-match series.
