Netizens react to see Bengaluru police stop Pakistani fan from cheering for his team

It’s absolutely ridiculous how a fan isn’t allowed to cheer for his own country.

Netizens reacted after a clip went viral on social media showing an Indian policeman who stopped a Pakistani fan from cheering in favour of the Pakistan Team at Bengaluru’s M Chinnaswamy Stadium on Friday.

Well if you happen to get a visa to watch the ongoing ICC World Cup in India being played on Indian soil, be mindful that you can not cheer for the Pakistan Team saying Pakistan Zindabad, Period.

The soul Pakistan fan in the stadium wearing a green jersey can be seen arguing with the cop on duty, saying “[We] have come from Pakistan, what should we say if not Pakistan Zindabad,”

The Pakistani fan also questioned the policeman as to why he couldn’t say Pakistan Zindabad as he was attending the match featuring the Green Team.

That’s not the spirit of Cricket at all and a slap on ICC’s face for being pro-BCCI indeed.

Meanwhile, NDTV reported quoting Bengaluru’s City Police Commissioner B Dayanand, that “higher authorities” have instructed to prevent the fans from engaging in provocative acts.

Well, it’s absolutely ridiculous how a fan isn’t allowed to cheer for his own country.
