Croatia Beat Morocco 2-1 To Finish Third in 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament.

Croatia has beaten Morocco by 2-1 to finish third in the FIFA 2022 World Cup on Saturday.

37-year-old Luka Modric led Croatia to a third-place finish at the World Cup playing 656 out of a possible 690 minutes.

Croatia has had three top-3 finishes since making its World Cup debut in 1998.

 

The match played at the Khalifa International Stadium started in a sensational manner where both teams scored one goal each within the first 10 minutes.

Josco Gvardiol gave Croatia the lead in the seventh minute, but Morocco ended the lead two minutes later.

Ashraf Dari of Morocco scored the first goal for the team in the 9th minute and the match was tied.

Croatia took the lead again in the first half with a second goal in the 45th minute of the game, scored by Mislav Oršić.

The third goal of the game in the first half proved to be the last goal of the match as both teams could not score any more despite great efforts.

Croatia maintained their lead 1-2 till the allotted time and won the match to claim the third position in Qatar World Cup 2022.
