Islamabad United teammates waving Palestine flags after winning the Pakistan Super League (PSL) season 9 title have won the internet!

Islamabad United players expressed solidarity with the people of Palestine by carrying the Palestinian flags on their victory lap after a thriller final played at the National Bank Stadium, Karachi on March 18. 

Only the Pakistani national players from the Islamabad United team were seen holding the Palestinian flag during the celebrations, as international players were not present alongside them.

Several social media users welcomed the gesture shown by the Islamabad United players. 

“What an outstanding victory by Islamabad United, and what a commendable gesture to show solidarity with the people of Palestine! The champions of PSL9 paraded around the ground with Palestinian flags, winning hearts,” a netizen wrote in a post shared on X.
