Naqvi was elected unopposed as the 37th chairman of the cricket board

Caretaker CM Punjab Mohsin Naqvi has been appointed as the new Chairman of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) for the next 3 years.

Naqvi was elected unopposed as the 37th chairman of the cricket board after replacing the former chairman of the PCB Management Committee, Zaka Ashraf, in the Board of Governors (BoG) and will take charge after the general elections.

PCB’s Chief Election Commissioner Shah Khawar in a press release announced that Mohsin Naqvi is the chairman from today and will take up the responsibilities in a few days.

“Mohsin Naqvi can take up the role of chairman along with his chief minister position. No restriction in the law and constitution might restrict him from becoming the chairman immediately,” Shah Khawar, maintained.

He said that the cricket body has constituted a board per the constitution.

“There will be good decisions and work in the upcoming events,” added the chief election commissioner.
