Netizens slam umpires for favoring India for resuming game despite wet outfield

Bangladesh were ahead on D/L and ICC restarted the match when the ground was very wet and not ready to play.

Netizens slam umpires for favoring India for resuming the game despite a wet outfield!

The hashtags including #Cheating, #Umpires, and #BCCI have been trending on social media following the outcome of the India vs Bangladesh match on Wednesday at Adelaide Oval.

The rain in Australia has been a crucial hindrance in the ongoing T20 World Cup and a couple of matches saw abrupt results.

Wednesday saw India set a target of 185 while batting first, to which Bangladesh started the chase brilliantly, courtesy of Liton Das’ 21-ball fifty.

However, the rain disrupted Bangladesh’s chase when they were 66/0 in seven overs.

The umpires decided to continue the match after the break and the target was revised to 151 in 16 overs.

Though Bangladesh captain Shakib Al Hasan looked animated in front of the umpires as the outfield was pretty wet.

And everyone saw Liton also slip on the first ball after the game resumed.

The outfield was clearly wet and the players are slipping. Bangladesh players have protested in front of umpires but who cares?

Netizens slam the umpires for favoring India as Bangladesh was already 17 runs ahead of the DLS method.

If the DLS method would have given, the outcome would not be in the Indian favour, and Bangladesh could have won two crucial points.

On the other hand, Virat’s action on the field as if telling the umpires their job has also left the netizens outraged.
