PSL9 kicks off with a star-studded opening ceremony in Lahore

The Pakistan Super League (PSL) season nine kicked off on Saturday with a star-studded opening ceremony at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium.

Cricket fans watched the spectacular performances by various artists including, Arif Lohar, the band ‘Noori’  and this year’s anthem singers Ali Zafar and Aima Baig.

The event commenced with Natasha Baig and Leo Twins’ soulful rendition of the national anthem and laser show.

 

The PSL 9 is set to to played in two legs with Multan Cricket Stadium and Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium hosting 14 matches between them from February 17 to 27.

The action then be shifted to Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium and Karachi’s National Bank Stadium, where 16 matches will be held from February 28 to March 12.

The event will then move to Karachi in its entirety for the playoffs.

Karachi will host 11 matches, including the Qualifier, two Eliminators and the final.
