Morocco defeated Cristiano Ronaldo’s team Portugal through a brilliant performance on Saturday to reach the semi-finals of the Football World Cup for the first time in history and also became the first team from Africa to achieve the feat.
The Portuguese team entered the field without its famous player Cristiano Ronaldo in an important match and the Moroccan team also took full advantage of this.
It was an interesting contest played at Al-Thumama Stadium!
When the second half started, Portugal was down with one goal and brought Ronaldo onto the field and the game became faster.
Though Portugal made several attacks to score goals, the Moroccan goalkeeper played a great game and saved several goal attempts.
It wasn’t Ronaldo’s day in the end and the football great left the field with tears in his eyes.
