U-19 Series: Pakistan continue their winning ways

Pakistan U-19 team continued their winning ways by recording their 5th win of the series against South Africa. Pakistan lead the seven match series 5-0.

Batting 1st Pakistan were off to a decent start, as captain Rohail Nazir steadied the ship with a half century. However, when Nazir fell for 52, the score was 123-4 and the inning could have gone either way. Here, Irfan Niazi played a match winning knock, scoring almost a run a ball 122. His innings powered Pakistan to 300. Lifa Ntanzi & Siya Plaatjie picked up a pair of wickets each.

U-19 series Pakistan take series with a thumping win

In response South Africa were never really in the game, losing wickets at regular intervals. The stand out performer was Jonathan Bird, scoring a 95 ball hundred. Only three batsman reached the double figures. Quetta Gladiators pacer Naseem Shah picked up three wickets as South Africa were bowled out 184, losing the game comprehensively by 116 runs.

The sixth 50 over contest will be played on Friday
