Lata Mangeshkar Admitted to ICU After Contracting Covid-19
Bollywood’s legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar has been admitted to ICU on Tuesday after contracting COVID-19.
According to the Indian media reports, the 92-year-old singer is currently undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit (ICU) of Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital.
Lata Mangeshkar was admitted early morning on Sunday.
She has been diagnosed with COVID pneumonia and is in ICU, said the doctor treating her.
“She is responding, but we will have to keep her under observation for around 7-10 days,” the doctor added.
On the other hand, sharing an update on Mangeshkar’s health, her niece Rachna told news agency ANI that, “She is doing fine; has been kept in ICU only for precautionary reasons considering her age. Please respect our privacy and keep Didi in your prayers.”
