It won’t be just rumors, Ali Zafar to send legal notice to Meesha Shafi!
The ball will be in court of law after the accusations of sexual harassment made on Ali Zafar by Meesha Shafi have been termed as defamation by Zafar. According to his counsel, Ali Fazli, Ali Zafar will send legal notice to Meesha Shafi refuting all the claims of inappropriate conduct and also stating all accusations as baseless.
According to various local publications, a legal notice has been sent to Meesha stating that if she does not issue an apology within two weeks time, Ali will file a defamation suit against her. To one’s dismay it was revealed by a source close to Ali Zafar that the legal notice surfacing on the internet is fake, though Ali will be sending her a legal notice officially and filing for defamation case as well.
It was earlier made to public by performer singer Meesha Shafi through her official Twitter account that she has hired Nighat Dad and Muhammad Ahmad Pansota as her legal counsels for the case.
“I have appointed Barrister @pansota1 and @nighatdad as my legal counsels to look after all issues pertaining to my sexual harassment claim against Ali Zafar. Media is requested to contact them to get any update on the ongoing issue.”

Earlier another woman also came forward accusing Ali Zafar of misconduct through a tweet. It was during the Shaukat Khanum U.S tour, stating that the organizers were informed of the incident but they still went ahead with the rest of the shows.
However, Naila Khan who was part of the organizing committee tweeted, “It is a complete lie because the Washington DC event was the last one in the series. There was no event after that.”
It’s been quite a week in wake of Meesha’s accusation of sexual harassment #MeToo campaigned has been sparked within the country making many people to break the silence.
