Kuch Ankahi Episode-5 Review: Drama exhibits a gallery of riveting characters

There is an entry of a new character Tufail

Kuch Ankahi the drama serial airing at ARY Digital is full of positive messaging and the narrative is quite progressive. Performances are all good except for the entry of Adnan Samad’s character which seems a bit caricature. In the previous episode, we have seen that Samia’s wedding date has been fixed. In this episode, we have seen Aliya appreciating Salman’s professionalism in front of Sehrish in his absence.

In the previous episode, we have been introduced to Saif ur Rehman’s secret fiance who is quite an unconventional woman. She has selected Saif ur Rehman just because she likes the quality of obedience in him. Her own character seems twisted and we have a peek into her life she has a father in a wheelchair and it seems that she has a history of unpleasant childhood maybe her father used to abuse her mother.

Then we have a glimpse of Mina’s household, her daughter Neha is an aspiring TikTok star and it seems that she will get into some trouble as her cousin is planning to take her away to Bhaira Town for a photo shoot. Our heart goes out to poor Mina who is trying hard to make ends meet but her children are getting out of her hands. Her son is certainly hiding something from his sister, is he being abused by his tailor master?

We certainly love Aliya and Salman’s encounters surely add colour to this drama. This time is Salman trying to flirt with Aliya? Or it is just his tactic to outsmart her? Salman offers her a hand of friendship on which she later smiles. Aliya in the following scene with Sehrish appreciates Salman’s professional approach saying that he knows his business. What does it mean if Aliya’s heart softens for Salman? Sherish and her conversation with her brother Asfar are also intriguing he clearly threatens her to put a case against her father claiming the same property she wants to make a housing scheme. Well, Sherish serving Asfar with ‘something’ without any warning caption is quite a bold step.

Samia and her mother’s emotional scene is heart-touching. It is so refreshing to see a glimpse of Babar Ali’s character and we want to see more of him. There is an entry of a new character Tufail who apparently claims to be a legal heir of the house but he changes his tone when he meets Agha Jaan. He gives Phupho her late husband’s sake to let him stay in the house. His character is quite caricatured. He captures Tania’s room saying what she has to do with such a big room. Tania is out of the station she has finally been successful in getting permission from her mother for going to Taxilla for her project. Interesting Buildup. Kuch Ankahi exhibits a gallery of engrossing characters.
