Neem Episode-2 Review: Karamat Khan is eyeing on Zimmal

Karamat shares with his father his desire to marry Zimmal

Hum Tv’s newly started drama serial Neem is 2 episodes down. The play seems to be a bit preachy at places but overall a fresh story with a fresh landscape and setting. Mawra Hussain has aced her role as Zimmal. In the previous episode, it is established that Zimmal wants to work for the betterment of the girls by teaching them at the primary level. In this episode, she is on her way to achieving her goal but it is Karamat Khan who is eyeing Zimmal.

As is suggested from the look of Karamat when he first laid his eyes on Zimmal that he has a thing for her. In this episode, it is clear that Karamat Khan is eyeing Zimmal for quite a long. One thing is not making any sense that Karamat Khan has shown to be a violent person but he says that he is quiet because he is letting her complete her studies does not make any sense. It is out of his character.

Karamat Khan shares with his father his desire to marry again who snubs him for thinking like that he says that it is his daughter’s age to get married. He says that he wants to marry because he wants a son. His father inquires whom he wants to marry with do he has a person in mind? Karamat names Zimmal on which he gets a good scolding from his father never to say her name again.

It is clear that Karamat has bitter feelings for his father. He is polar opposite of his father. His father is going to offend him even more with his plans to divide his land among the people who have worked hard on it for quite a long. He has called Asad for it and he has given him charge to assist him in the distribution of land among the deserved laborers who have settled and worked on it for ages but it does not go well with Karamat.

Zimaal is on her way to achieving her goal of educating the girls of her village. Baba is supporting her at every step. It is such a cute scene where Ashaad is peeking from the back of the tree while she is giving her lecture. The lecture is really good and Mawra has outdone it but it was too preachy. Secondly, it is not so heroic of Ashaad to peek into Zimaal’s house in the middle of the night. Intrigued to know what will Karamat Khan do to stop his father in the next episode?
