Yunhi Episode-11 Review: Finally, Dawood and Kim are nikkahfied!
The story has become multi-layered
Hum TV drama serial Yunhi despite having all its flaws and shortcomings, is still a treat to watch. The drama has old-school vibes and beautiful frames, and credit for that surely goes to the director Etheshamuddin. The performances are all good. In the previous episodes, we have seen Dawood and Kim’s wedding in full swing. In this episode, the festivities continue and finally, Dawood and Kim are nikkahfied!
Well, the obsession of Kim with Zulfi is not making any sense how can a girl who has met a man of her father’s age once or twice has been affiliated with him so much so that she is ready to take a stand for herself in front of her in-laws to be. Well, Dada Jee certainly knows something about Zulfi and Iqbal that is why he is so averse to Zulfi. Dawood looks so cute when he tries to cover Kim saying that he has taken her out to have Falooda.
Well, Dawood tried his best to avoid any confrontation but Kim is Kim she straightforwardly tells Dada Jee that she has gone with Dawood to invite Zulfi to her wedding. Despite Dada Jee’s furious objection, Kim is resolute that Zulfi will have to come to her wedding no matter who approves him or not. Dr Naveed stops Kim telling her that she is misbehaving and then he wisely calls Zulfi and stops him from attending the wedding.
Dada Jee’s views are quite typical misogynist views that he tells Dawood to kill the cat right from the beginning of his relationship. He tells Dawood that it is the husband who has to have a hold on his wife and it is the wife who has to follow her husband. Dawood is sure that this will never be the case with Kim but Dawood still gets influenced by what Dada Jee has said to him.
I really like the way how the story is developing there will be a cultural contrast and clash of ideas. The story has become multi-layered and we can see nuances emerging of. Kim and Dawood’s relationship going to be a roller coaster ride The nikkah scene was a cute one. It is so annoying to see Kim still calling Dawood a terrorist. Well, one thing we know is that Dawood marries Kim in good faith while Kim also will bound to live with him as it seems that Dr Naveed has taken her passport along with him and fled off to America. Excited to see how Dawood and Kim’s love journey begins.
