Rowan Atkinson rumoured to be playing Adolf Hitler in Peaky Blinders Season 6

Rowan Atkinson (Mr.Bean) is rumoured to be playing Adolf Hitler in Peaky Blinders’ upcoming season.

Various reports are floating on the internet suggesting that Rowan Atkinson will be seen as Adolf Hitler in Peaky Blinders season 6.

If found true, it’s going to be the best thing to happen to the show since Tom Hardy who played the character of Alfie Solomons, a mob boss for a predominantly Jewish gang.

The season 5 saw how Thomas Shelby’s plans were sabotaged to assassinate Sam Claflin’s, Oswald Mosley.

Meanwhile, an insider reports that the upcoming season 6 is being built around Oswald Mosely’s revenge and Tommy digging what failed his plans. We all know that won’t be only this.

And what could be Hitler’s connection to the Peaky Blinders? So here it is:

Oswald Mosley, the leader of the British Union of Fascists in the UK, in real life, was also a friend of Adolf Hitler. He was also invited to Mosley’s second wedding!

Hitler was a guest of honour at Mosley’s second wedding to Diana Mitford in 1936. The ceremony took place at the home of Third Reich Propaganda Minister Joseph Goebbels. Hitler at the wedding ceremony.

As the next season is expected to dig deep into the story of Mosley, so fans are sure that Hitler may make an appearance and that would be Rowan Atkinson aka Mr. Bean.

The popular period drama’s new season has faced significant delays due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic after its Season 5 aired last year. The new season is expected to air sometime in 2021 or 2022.

Rowan Atkinson is well recognised globally for Mr. Bean’s character and Edmund Blackadder in Blackadder.

Most recently, Atkinson reprised his role as Johnny English in the 2018 film Johnny English Strikes Again. 

Atkinson’s other credits include Not the Nine O’Clock News, Johnny English, Four Weddings and a Funeral and Never Say Never.
